2008 Ambassadors: Juanita Rock & Kevin Stuart
In 2008, St. Peter was awarded the "Best Parish Project" with The C.U.R.E.
The topic for the Parish Projects in 2008 was; "The Environment". The Ambassadors, Kevin Stuart and Juanita Rock, targeted the environment with The C.U.R.E. TheC.U.R.E. stands for Care, Use, Respect and Enhance the environment. By definition, a "CURE" is "to end a problem by treatment or appropriate action" and Kevin and Juanita indeed cured our environment.
The environment was CAREDfor by reducing, reusing and recycling, several clean ups and separating garbage among other activities. It was USEDfor environmental hikes, creating gardens and parks for beautification and recreation, etc. RESPECTwas shown for the environment by the placement of signs. By combining the first three sections the environment is therefore ENHANCED.
